Eric

JD is one of the only people growing up who shared the same passion for music as I did. Though we are many miles apart now I can’t see music without seeing him in some form. I hope we can play together again.

Eric has always been a wonderful friend of mine for as long as I can remember. Love ya bud.

I almost tripped over his dog.

These things happen when you work in a music venue.

My only comment to him was “Ah, fatherhood.”

It’s funny how sometimes I end up meeting people I never intended to meet. I was at the gala opening of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville when I happened to find myself standing next to Garth Brooks. I didn’t have anything interesting to say, so I just asked him what he thought of the concert. He said it was “Amazing.”

I met Bela Fleck in line for the restroom yesterday after hearing a bit of a rehearsal. Chatted a bit about a new orchestra piece he has co-written and how much the symphony likes the new hall. Nice guy, very talented.

Jenn is pretty much the coolest. She’s an awesome artist, and a great friend. It helps that she married a very good friend of mine, but we would have gotten along just as well if she hadn’t.

Once upon a time there was a guy named Eric who was awesome. He was also really funny, a talented musician, liked to stick things in his nose, and made great bean dip. But not necessarily all at the same time. The end.

Eric and I helped build a house in a creepy little town in Virginia once. We were in junior high. There were definitely aliens involved.

We share the same heritage, and are almost certainly related.
